LOCAL SCOUTS RALLY.
FIVE GROUPS TAKE PART IN PRACTICAL TESTS.

An important rally, in which six groups of the Hongkong Boy Scouts Association took part, was held at the Praya East Reclamation on Saturday, when they were inspected by the Commissioner (the Rev. G.T.Waldegrave), in company with Mr. Gordon (Assistant Commissioner for Boy Scouts, Shanghai). Tests in scout craft followed, and subsequently tea was enjoyed in the concert hall of the Seamen's Institute, succeeded by an entertainment.
The scouts were addressed by Mr. Gordon, who spoke of the progress of the movement in Shanghai, and the Commissioner reminded the boys of the arrangements made for a preliminary training camp to be held in January next, when lectures would be given to officers. On the last weekend in January a camp would be held at Saiwan, when practical work would be done.
   The groups competing during the afternoon were:- Sea Scouts, 2nd H.K. (St. Andrew's), 5th H.K. (Roving Firth), 6th H.K., 20th H.K. and the 28th H.K. Group.
